Subject Screening Quiz: verify your knowledge at 70%+.
Platform Orientation: free access, learn the system.
External Foundation Courses: accredited, free credentials.
Anselhill Core Training: paid internal certification, this is our proprietary programme.
Demo + Interview + Placement: your students await.

You have the knowledge and the passion. What you have been missing is structure, accountability, a client pipeline, and a brand that positions your expertise as something worth paying for. Anselhill was built to fix that.
You spend more time marketing yourself than teaching. The Academy sources and places clients for you once you are certified.
One-off sessions with no curriculum framework. Our 8-week programme gives every student a structured, measurable journey.
No colleagues, no feedback loop, no community. At Anselhill you are part of a qualified faculty with peer support built in.
Private tutoring has no standard. Our certification gives you a verified, recognised badge that parents and students can trust.
The Tutor Certification is designed for tutors who want a long-term, high-standard academic career not a side hustle. In this case we are intentionally selective and we are ready to admit dedicated professionals who will successfully complete all screening programs, because our promise to parents is "excellence".
Structured placement: you are matched with students after certification, not before.
8-week programme framework: every student follows a curriculum designed to produce measurable results.
Diagnostic-led teaching: every student's weaknesses are identified before a tutor is assigned.
Progress reporting: automated feedback loops keep parents informed and tutors accountable.
Faculty community: weekly syncs, guest speakers, peer discussions, and live sessions.
Professional certification: four Anselhill badges plus your official Certified Tutor credential.
Once you complete the certification, you do not just receive a credential. You gain access to a full operating system built to support you as a professional educator.

Access our proprietary Standard Operating Procedures from initial diagnostic assessments to lesson delivery and parent reporting.

A 4-module internal training programme covering philosophy, operations, communication, and assessment — with verified badges on completion.

Our Demand Generation team actively markets to UK parents. Qualified students are delivered to certified tutors.

You are never alone. Weekly team syncs, a community discussion feed, live events, and mentor office hours keep you supported at every stage.

Our built-in reporting system tracks student progress through every session and generates automated parent feedback updates.

Your engagement, contribution, and student results are tracked. Top-performing tutors gain visibility, priority placement, and Academy recognition.
Every tutor follows the same path. Each step unlocks the next. Here is exactly what to expect from application to placement.
Stage 1: Subject Screening Quiz.
After submitting your application, you will receive a subject-specific quiz based on the subject(s) you applied to teach. This short assessment verifies your knowledge at a standard our students can rely on. You must score a minimum of 70% to proceed. Tutors who do not meet the pass mark are welcome to reapply after further preparation.
Stage 2: Platform Orientation (Free).
Tutors who pass the quiz receive immediate access to our tutor community platform and a full orientation course. This introduces you to how Anselhill operates, how to navigate the dashboard, access your courses, upload certificates, track progress, and communicate within the community.
Stage 3: External Foundation Courses (Free).
You will complete a set of free, accredited teaching courses from recognised institutions including The Open University (OpenLearn) and Coursera. These build your professional teaching credentials and are required for progression to our internal training. Certificates must be uploaded and verified before next Stage is unlocked.
Stage 4: Anselhill Core Training (Paid Entry).
This is Anselhill Academy's proprietary internal training programme. It contains our personalised teaching framework, lesson delivery methodology, student management protocols, and the structured content that forms the foundation of how every Anselhill tutor operates. This is not a generic course, it is our internal curriculum, built and owned by Anselhill Academy.
The £30 fee is the entry requirement for this training. It is what places you inside our community pool where you learn, connect, share knowledge with other tutors, and position yourself for opportunities to earn with us. The training is mandatory for anyone who wants to be part of the Anselhill community.
Course Fee: £30
Required to access the Anselhill Core Training and enter our community pool.
If You Are Selected to Work With Us: £30 Returned
Tutors who are accepted to actively work with us receive their training fee back as part of their first payment. This is the only condition under which the fee is returned.
What You Get: Community Access + Internal Certification
Training, connection, shared learning, and the skills to operate as an Anselhill-standard tutor.
For Everyone in the Community: You Stay, You Grow
Whether or not you are selected for active placement, you remain part of our community learning, developing, and eligible for future opportunities as we grow.
Important to note: The return of this fee is not guaranteed to all tutors. It is given only to tutors who are selected and accepted to work with Anselhill Academy. All other tutors continue to benefit from full community membership with access to training resources, peer connection, and future earning opportunities as our platform expands.
Stage 5: Professional Certification & Placement.
Following a teaching demo evaluation and a final interview with the academic team, certified tutors are matched with students and families in the Anselhill network. This is where your credential begins delivering — you teach, we handle the pipeline.
Your £30 commitment fee is returned at this stage. Once you have completed the internal training programme and been successfully onboarded as an active tutor, the full £30 is added to your first tutoring payment. Your training has effectively cost you nothing.
Every student gets a diagnostic assessment (using AI tools) before teaching begins. We don't guess; we measure.
Our goal for every student is an "A" grade. We train you to that standard and hold you to it.
Consistent, structured feedback to parents is non-negotiable. It builds trust and retention.
We tell the truth—about effort, gaps, and next steps—kindly and clearly. No vague reports, no empty praise.
Great lessons aren’t improvised. We prepare carefully, reuse high‑quality materials, and refine each cycle.
You represent Anselhill Academy. Client relationships belong to the academy, and we grow together through shared reputation.
Our Year groups span Primary through Sixth Form, with specialist demand for Year 6 and Year 11 tutors. Subject screening applies to all applicants.
Before you apply, note this.? Anselhill does not recruit from a job board. Tutors who reach this page have already been identified through our shortlisting process.
The subject screening quiz is the first formal step. It is short, focused, and designed to confirm what we already believe — that you have the subject knowledge to teach at the standard our students deserve.
There is no penalty for not passing first time. Tutors are welcome to reapply after further preparation.

“Anselhill Academy exists because we believe tutoring can be an honourable, demanding, and joyful craft not gig work. When you join us, you’re not just ‘finding students’. You’re joining a faculty that takes ideas, culture, and children’s futures seriously.”

On the £30 internal training fee: This fee is the entry requirement for Anselhill's internal training programme — it is what places you inside our community pool, where you learn, develop, and connect with other tutors working toward the same standard. The training is mandatory for anyone who wants to be part of the Anselhill community, and the fee makes that commitment real.
The £30 is returned only to tutors who are selected and accepted to actively work with Anselhill Academy — added to their first tutoring payment as confirmation of their placement. For everyone else, the community remains open: you continue learning, developing your skills, and positioning yourself for future opportunities as our platform and client base grows.
If you’re unsure whether this is right for you, these are the questions tutors most often ask before applying.
We value subject mastery and a genuine commitment to teaching. While formal classroom experience is not a hard requirement, you must demonstrate strong subject knowledge through the screening quiz and show a student-centred approach throughout the certification process.

Most tutors complete the full 5-step journey within 10 to 14 days from passing the quiz, running concurrently with their initial orientation. The core training and external courses can be completed at your own pace, though we recommend dedicating consistent time each week to maintain momentum.
Once your teaching demo and final interview are approved, you receive your official Anselhill Certified Tutor credential and are added to our active tutor pool. You will then be matched with students based on your subject, availability, and year group expertise. Your £30 is returned in your first payment
